The Oatery café was first concepted as a food truck at Harbourside Market. Here, young owner Anna Campbell discovered that Wellingtonians absolutely adore a delicious bowl of oats. Wonderfully, she set up a permanent home for the brand back in December.
Located at Left Bank, the new café is set in a small modern white space, personalised with homely touches like wooden finishes, florals and artwork. There’s limited seating but it’s a perfect contender when it comes to a quick breakfast option in Wellington.
Health enthusiasts will love the selection of affordable and top-quality indulgent porridges dedicated to oats. With 5-star reviews, each delicious bowl comes filled with nutrition, colour and taste.
Menu highlights include Banana Cacao consisting of oat milk, coconut yoghurt, banana, fix and fog peanut butter and granola, Seasonal Porridge with oat milk, spiced granola, roasted rhubarb and strawberries, Greek yoghurt and lemon curd. Meanwhile, the uplifting Turmeric Bircher and Granola Bowl with banana, strawberry chai jam and peanut butter are real crowd pleasers.
Additionally, coffee lovers can refuel with a range of hearty coffees. And there’s a small selection of toast options and divine gluten-free banana bread to devour. The sweet and savoury toasts come topped with either tarragon, chive egg salad and microgreens, fruits and honey butter or even basil pesto.
Certainly, The Oatery café’s instagrammable breakfast bowls are an ideal morning wake up call. Excellently, you can still visit the food truck at Harbourside Market every Sunday.
