The Dumpling Company is known for delightful hot pots, authentic Chinese dumpling dishes, noodle soup and much more goodness. But have you ever tried their Dan Dan Flying Noodles? It’s basically a fried noodle dish, either meat-free or full of meat, with plenty of vegetables and sauces.

4. Fix & Fog Toasties
At Eva Street, you’ll grab an instagrammable but scrumptious toastie from the hidden window. They cater the most delicious slices of peanut butter toast on sourdough bread, that can be gluten-free. One option is the chocolate berry butter, peanut butter granola, raspberry syrup and frozen raspberries, or else the Banoffee Pie that comes with crunchy peanut butter, fresh banana, chocolate shavings from WCF and caramel coconut yoghurt. Our favourites are the beef patty Kong and Silverback, and The Flying Monkey, which comes with fried buttermilk chicken. Certainly, it makes an epic photo but it’s also the belly-filling grub you need this weekend.

6. Sourdough Crumpets
Head to Harbourside Market, and find these delicious handcrafted dessert crumpets that are toasted to perfection. Little Spoon popped up during the pandemic last year, and has been exciting people’s taste buds since. Think Nutella and raspberry, lemon curd and crème fraiche, and banana maple peanut butter, just to name a few.

7. Quesadilla Pizza
This Mexican joint is already a favourite of ours for catering the most sinfully loaded monster nachos on the planet. However, Rosie’s Cantina also serves a soul-satisfying quesadilla pizza. Indulge on a thick cheesy quesadilla pizza base, topped with plenty of meats, and cheeses. The photo doesn’t even do it justice.

8. Ice Cream Cheeseburger
Zelati Dessert Café is taking part in Burger Wellington. Available for limited time only this Oh Be-Be Cheeseburger consists of cheddar cheese gelato, crushed pretzels, on a bun topped with roasted black and white sesame. Wonderfully, it comes with a side portion of delicious churro fries and dark chocolate dipping sauce. Whether you plan to eat it or not, it makes an instagrammable food picture.

11. Lashings Super Sundae
Lashings dessert café dishes up some of the best fried chicken and waffles in Wellington. And, one of the world’s best desserts, a tasty Banoffee Pie. Their Super Sundae (pictured) cost $30, and consists of four brownies, six scoops of ice cream, plenty of toppings and bananas.
