Mark Wahlberg’s famous burger joint, Wahlburgers, will finally open its doors on Wednesday, March 1, in Auckland. This comes five months after the originally scheduled opening date – which was blamed on shipping delays from the United States.
Located at Shed 22 on Princes Wharf, the famous burger chain – which is owned by Hollywood celebrity Mark Wahlberg and his brothers, Chef Paul and Donnie – will be the first-ever Wahlburgers in New Zealand. However, the Auckland branch will be operated by owners of United Cinema, Sam Mustaca and family.
Diners can look forward to a casual dining experience featuring drooling burgers, breakfasts, sides from sweet potatoes to fries and onion rings, including vegetarian options, scrumptious desserts, alongside a range of milkshakes, colourful cocktails, beers, coffee and much more.
The Wahlberg brothers first launched Wahlburgers in 2011. The chain now possesses more than 50 stores globally, in places such as the United States, Australia, Europe and Canada. In fact, Aucklanders may spot the Wahlberg brothers at the opening this week. Two more Wahlburgers NZ outlets are set to open in Queenstown and Tauranga this year.
