Indeed, a wonderful new 5-star reviewed café has popped up. Excitingly, Fred’s Sandwiches in Wellington has been impressing those lucky enough to have found it since its opening in December.
With little social media presence, you’ll need to go by their Instagram or reviews if you haven’t visited it yet. Although, we’re here to tell you they cater irresistible, filling and flavourful sandwiches and toasties.
Situated at Cuba Street, reviewers claim it to be a small cosy sanctuary, in a simply decorated setting, serving hearty coffees and delicious food at great value.
Think thick soft breaded large sandwiches, featuring a generous variety of meats and fillings, oozing with flavour. For instance, choices include Egg breakfast baps, Mushroom, Tuna Melt, Beef, Chicken, to name a few.
Some highlights are the Tuna Melt, with red onions, chives, pickles, lemon and mayo on toasted sourdough bread. Equally, customers are loving the Chicken sandwich, consisting of schnitzel, shredded iceberg lettuce and pickle mayo on a white loaf.
Delightfully, the café caters for gluten-free dieters, along with vegan and vegetarians. Plus, they serve excellent coffee, teas and other beverages to pair with your yummy sandwich.
Additionally, some google users claim that Fred’s Sandwiches are ”the best sandwiches in Wellington”, while another user claimed ”it was the best sandwich” he had eaten in his life. Definitely, expect the greatest food porn in existence.
Certainly, Fred’s Sandwiches is calling you this weekend in Wellington. The café opens 8am to 3pm daily.
