Since December 2020, award-winning Japanese artist Chiharu Shoita’s installation called The Web Of Time has been hypnotising guests. Wonderfully, the showcase has called the Te Papa Toi Art Museum home for the last year.
The Web Of Time invites the guest to reflect on their inner self and on their life, from past to present, and future. Journey beyond your wildest imagination, as you walk under a night sky ceiling filled with thousands of intersected strands with a collection of numbers, connecting space and time.
Impressively, the web is made from over 3,750 balls of black wool. Equally, it boasts a marvellous tunnel where guests can walk under and offers the most instagrammable moments like that above.
Certainly, if you haven’t got to see this enchanting art display, you need to schedule a visit before its final days in December. For more information, visit the Te Papa Museum website.
