The Champagneria is the first-ever champagne bar to open in Wellington. It specialises in a host of champagnes and sparkling wines from across the globe, alongside boozy brunches, high teas and delicious platters.
With an extensive selection of champagnes from France, Spanish cava, Italian prosecco and new world sparkles like Californian Chardonnay…you’ll be spoilt for choice. Particularly, the Champagne Cocktails ($14+) are serious crowd-pleasers. For instance, Champagne Margarita with tequila, sparkling wine, agave syrup and lime juice. Alternatively, the refreshing Cotton Candy with sparkling wine, strawberry candy floss and elderflower liqueur.
There’s also a unique selection of cocktails using spirits such as the Oreo Martini ($19), consisting of vodka, crushed oreos, caramel rim, almond milk and more. While mocktails are also available as well as a number of craft beers and wines.
Certainly, your glass of bubbly isn’t complete without some decent grub. Expect shared platters to match each winemaking region or opt for a Bottomless Brunch ($60) session, Champagne Brunch ($85+ for two) or a 3-tier High Tea ($60+ for two) experience.
Wonderfully, The Champagneria has a cosy rooftop that’s dog-friendly in Wellington. They even have a dedicated dog menu, probably, inspired by their adorable resident puppy you may spot on your visit.
