A Pop-up Sleeping Beauty-Themed Restaurant Is Coming To Wellington

It’s in line with the Royal Ballet New Zealand’s production of The Sleeping Beauty.

2020 fits quite well with Sleeping Beauty, given the fact it might have been wise to just sleep through it. We sure did give that a good crack during lockdown. But now, it’s time to wake up and give this a try! [Featured Image: @nouglywellness, Instagram].

To coincide with the Royal Ballet’s production, a Sleeping Beauty-themed restaurant is rolling into town. Be sure to add to the ballet with a trip here, and live like a fairy.

Over at the Hippopotamus Restaurant & Cocktail Bar, you’ll be able to sip on high tea while nibbling on spindle cookies and fairy bread macarons. These come in three-tiers of trays and also include savoury delights such as mini-salmon burgers with avocado on a beetroot bun. There will also be a selection of other colourful drinks and refreshments.

The events take place from 4pm on four days: October 30 & 31, and November 6 & 7. Entry is NZ$49 per person with each entree receiving a No Ugly Skin wellness cocktail.

If this sounds like your cup of tea (quite literally), then head over to the QT Hotels page to book your spot.
