Back in April 2021, we brought you the news that Nolita opened and it was the hot new place for vegans to gather in Wellington.
Located on Cuba Street, New Zealand’s first and only plant-based pizza and pastaria switches things up by freshly making their dough daily while their type 2 flour is fermented for 48 hours before being served. While their house-made cheese is dairy-free and plant-based and their menu takes a New York twist.
However, those who don’t like pizza or pasta can indulge on a selection of brunches, lunches and dinners. For instance, brunch offers shared platters, delicious sourdough pancakes, gluten-free big breakfasts, chicken Rueben sandwiches and more.
Meanwhile, dinner offers a range of pastas like Carbonara, vegan burgers, baked spinach ricotta dumplings, starters like drooling mozzarella sticks, to name a few. Plus, anyone with a sweet tooth can enjoy desserts such as a Banoffee Calzone, bakery goodies and the unique Lemon Cannoli. Be sure to add a cocktail or beer to complete your meal.
Indeed, Nolita in Wellington is just the place to start out a plant-based diet. However, non-vegans can also enjoy this indulgent food. For bookings, visit the Nolita website.
