Nikau is an award-winning café first established in 1998 in the heart of Wellington. Excitingly, the folks down at Nikau are launching an Argentinian-style asado dining experience.
Located at City Gallery, the café is the perfect space for breakfast, afternoon social gatherings, special dinners and now cosy Argentinian asado dining for barbecue lovers.
From April 29, the sacred Argentinian asado experience will take place every Friday and Saturday, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. The event is a great way to feed a gang or bring together family and friends for a special occasion.
Indulge on an array of BBQ bites and meats cooked on an open-fire barbecue grill, along with scrumptious desserts, sides and complimentary drinks. Certainly, you’ll feel transported to South America tasting the delightful Manuka wood smoked eats.
Menu highlights include starters like Chorizo Bombom, mains from Pork Flank Steak Pizza Style to Whole Scotch Fillet, sides such as Potato Salad and a choice of two desserts, Crème Caramel topped with dulce de leche and cream or Fruit Salad with vanilla bean ice cream. Wonderfully, most dishes are allergy-friendly if you are gluten or dairy sensitive.
Pair your meal with blissful New Zealand wines like Hawke’s Bay Alpha Domus Cumulus Methode, Marlborough White Brut Rose and Tinpot Sauvignon Blanc. Alternatively, wash it all down with a soft drink, beer or cocktail.
This unique dining experience must be pre-booked. Price is $69 per adult. For bookings, visit the Nikau website.
