Welcome To The Jungle.
Stadium rock looks to be back on the cards, baby! [Main Image: @gunsnroses, Instagram].
But we’ll have to wait until November 19, 2021 for Guns ‘N’ Roses to roll back into town. They’re due to play the Wellington Sky Stadium and bring their party back.
It’s part of the band’s Australia and New Zealand tour. Guns ‘N’ Roses previously had to cancel their tour scheduled for May and June of this year, due to the pandemic.
After the mess that was 2020, we can keep our fingers crossed that this will bring back at least a bit of fun. Guns ‘N’ Roses last played Wellington in February 2017 on a wet, windy, but glorious show. It was part of the band’s “Not In This Lifetime” world tour, which saw them perform with original members Slash and Duff Duff McKagan re-join the group.
There’s even a chance we might see some brand new material on this touring cycle, after Slash told fans the band had been working on new tracks during their quarantine.
Any shows, of course, depends on the reopening of borders. Hopefully, a successful vaccine procedure will allow this tour to take place. Fingers crossed for Guns ‘N’ Roses bringing their glorious rock show to our shores once again.
Tickets for dates go on sale on November 23, with a pre-sale for Nightrain members starting November 23.
