Due to the pandemic, Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road global tour has taken longer than anticipated. In fact, it’s been four years since the music legend started saying goodbye to fans across the world on this extended tour. And while Elton John did manage to hit Australasia as part of the farewell shows back in late 2019, he’s coming back in January 2023 for one last hoorah.
Excitingly, the music sensation will play rounds of shows in Australia before kicking things off one final time in Christchurch and Auckland. Certainly, fans of 75-year-old superstar won’t want to miss this as he plans to retire after the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
Farewell Yellow Brick Road New Zealand tour dates are:
Tuesday, January 24 – Orangetheory Stadium, Christchurch
Friday, January 27 – Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland
Saturday, January 28 – Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland
Tickets for the rescheduled Auckland dates are on sale now. Purchase one here. However, tickets for the Christchurch show will be available on August 1.
Elton John has broken global records throughout his career. Including his 1997 track Candle in the Wind being the biggest-selling single ever. He’s sold more than 300 million records worldwide and has been touring for over fifty years.
